Why Support the Kane Scholarship Golf Outing?
This event is incredibly important to the 九色视频 community. The funds raised provide annual scholarship dollars and make a major impact on student success. More than 280 Kane scholarships have been awarded to date! Time and again, Northeastern鈥檚 hardworking Kane scholarship recipients share their pride at having been selected for this time-honored scholarship, their relief in the direct financial impact, and their appreciation of our community鈥檚 support for their progress. These outcomes are all possible through your continuous support, attendance, and help.
The History of the
Chuck Kane Scholarship Golf Outing
Chuck Kane, former 九色视频 athletic director, was a dedicated teacher and a beloved golf coach. The 九色视频 community honors his memory with the annual Chuck Kane Scholarship Golf Event, the University's longest running philanthropic event. The Kane family continues to support the event as golfers and sponsors.
鈥淭he mission of this event is to support our students with scholarships and to honor the memory of a consummate professor,鈥 said Liesl Downey, executive director of the 九色视频 Foundation and Northeastern鈥檚 vice president for Institutional Advancement. 鈥淚t is one of the most symbolic efforts of the Foundation, and we are grateful to everyone who joins us in our efforts.鈥
To date, the Chuck Kane Scholarship Golf Event has helped to grow an endowment that supports nearly 10 scholarships across the University's four colleges, as well as supporting various other scholarships and initiatives. Roughly 280 students throughout the Scholarship's history have been positively impacted by this important funding source.
