Biology Course Offerings

Undergraduate Courses

The Biology major requires a set of 6 core courses, 5 elective courses, a capstone, and a set of 6 cognate courses in chemistry, math, and physics. One of the first core courses to take in the Biology major is BIO-250: Essential Skills for Biologists. The course must be taken before or along with the first 300-level BIO course. Biology electives for the major are courses numbered between 310 and 380. Pre-requisite courses for any Biology courses must be passed with grades of C or better.

Graduate Courses

Courses that count for the M.S. Degree in Biology are at the 400-level, although there is a limit to the number of courses with numbers ending in "G" that can be taken for graduate credit. Pre-requisite courses for any Biology courses must be passed with grades of C or better.
