These courses apply psychological understanding to meet common challenges in maternity services. The evidence-based approaches support staff to meet the key ambitions set out in the Thirlwall Inquiry, the Baroness Amos and the Donna Ockenden Maternity Reviews.

The training programme has been established for 25 years - commissioned by Health Improvement Scotland, Scottish Government, NHS Scotland Boards and NHS England to deliver programmes in maternity and recommended by the Chief Midwife and Chief Obstetrician for London.

The courses in December are fairly intense small group workshops, aimed at obstetricians, neonatologists, midwives and neonatal nurses. Senior trainees are also invited.
